Stay on Track with Grandma's Ten Commandments for Healthy Weight Loss

(Diet & Weight Loss), Weight loss goals can seem unattainable with the road blocks that our everyday lives can create. Hectic schedules can force us to eat unhealthy on the go and everyday stress can tempt us to reach for a candy bar instead of a banana. With this in mind, weight loss expert Grandma Bev Grey offers a list of wall-mountable rules to live by when the going gets tough which is available for download at www.grandmashealthykidsclub.com.

Grey developed the Ten Commandments of Healthy Weight Loss as portable tip sheet that will reminds us of weight loss goals even in the most trying situations. Post it on a refrigerator door, bathroom mirror or in the break room at work to keep weight loss efforts focused and reduce the risk of "cheating."

Grey recognizes that week moments arise when we're bored, lonely, angry and or upset. "When our emotions get the best of us, we are more likely to reach for unhealthy snack, binge on a bag of cookies or sulk lazily in front of the TV," says Grey. That could be why her first commandment is "Thou shalt not eat unless thou art hungry."

According to Grey, another rule to live by involves getting plenty of beauty sleep. "Thou shalt not stay up late instead of getting the sleep thy body needs," commands Grey. "Thy body will burn calories more efficiently with adequate sleep, which usually means 7-8 hours for adults and 9 or more for young children and teens."

Knowing that we are all human, Grey offers advice for those days when our best intentions just aren't enough in commandment number ten.

"Thou shalt not be discouraged and give up if thee "falls off the wagon" and eats the wrong foods for a day. Thou shalt realize that every day is a new day, and continue to follow the Ten Commandments of Healthy Weight Loss!"
